I have had titles such as COO, CMO, CXO, Managing Partner, Director of Visual Communications, and Director of Brand Strategy. I have been responsible for leading staff to harness multichannel branded communication tools to generate organizational growth. Through the years I have held the titles graphic artist, art director, creative director, manager of brand/marketing, director of visual communications, partner, VP. I rounded out my creative background with an International Executive MBA in Paris, France to balance my ability to manage numbers, the creative and teams with level attention. 

With more than 27 years’ experience working with public relations and advertising agencies, NFOs, NGOs, government, education that started in design. I’ve written and taught courses such as colour theory, design concept and process and coaching and mentoring designers at the college, undergraduate and graduate level. I have been successful at strengthening internal and external relationships when a company is in transition. The past decade I’ve excelled as a private consultant at the C-level in Canada and in Europe, with 9 years in Toronto ON and 2 years in Prague CZ pre-pandemic and the past 2 years in Kelowna BC. I have volunteered in my community for the length of my career. 

Most recently I have been a term Professor at the Okanagan College in the Business Department teaching Marketing, Market Research, Computer Applications (MS Office 365 focus on Excel). The unfiltered, unprompted responses from my students are some of my strongest references; illustrating I have the skilfulness to achieve trust, follow through on objectives and move people/clients/students to respond to a call to action and succeed.

I an a writer and artist in my spare time. I have created several collections of work in both photography and creative writing.

I attended the DBA run IE MBA courses through ISM (International School of Management) in Paris, France with a scholarship. However my experience working in advertising with clients from all sectors, specifically client side is where honed my skills. Teaching is a sales pitch of information to a group that have no invested interest in liking me or the material. Being a high ranked teacher with unsolicited letters of appreciation from students who seek me out was the best test of my mettle over the years - keeping me sharp and current. I believe in these three things: my formal education, working and teaching round me out.
