Ray Asaph

To brief you on my skills, I have years of forestry experience, leadership and office experience.  I am educated with a diploma in business majoring in information systems from the University College of Cape Breton, and hold various heavy equipment safety tickets.  At the same time as my information systems career, I owned and operated equipment including mini excavators, a backhoe, and a farm tractor with a logging winch/forestry trailer, power saws and spacing saws.  Tasks included constructing roads and trails, clearing land, and using GPS technology to identify property lines, map making and create road and block plans for my small scale logging. 

I have exceptional skills using GPS and mapping software, micro soft office, and I-Work from Apple. 

I have recently obtained the following courses:Ground Disturbance for Workers, Safe Excavation and Power Saw Safety.

I held a position for 28 years in the Computer Operations department at the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.  I was a shift leader where I used the computer resources to support the running of our online games and provided management with required information.  I was also involved in office automation. 

At the same time as my information system career I owned and operated and maintained  heavy equipment such as excavators and farm tractors providing customers with snow removal, landscaping, and forestry services.    

After obtain my high school diploma I went on to obtain a Diploma in Business Majoring in Information Systems at the University College of Cape Breton.
