Robert Lauchlan

I'm Robert Lauchlan, a UX designer based in Vancouver, BC who is passionate about helping businesses solve problems through design.

I began designing in 2021 after completing a UX Diploma program. Since graduating, I have completed projects as both a freelance and in-house designer. I have worked on IOS, Android, and web applications to help businesses achieve their goals and service their users’ needs.

Currently, I am working for a digital marketing agency designing and building landing pages for companies in the tech space. 

Platform Designer

• Created wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and landing pages for a wide range of client profiles under the Red Hat ecosystem
• Collaborated with technical writers, graphic designers, and Red Hat partners to deliver marketing content on redhat.com
• Conducted client interviews and design presentations for product research and future initiatives

Product Designer

• Partnered with PMs and developers to build a Saas web and mobile product
• Conducted interviews, competitor analyses, and usability tests to gain insight on user behaviour and stakeholder requirements
• Established design systems, UI components, and technical guidelines to ensure efficient prototyping and implementation
• Created, tested, and iterated on user flows and wireframes
• Synthesized research findings to identify solutions and support strategic design decisions
