My name is Rommel or Mel is my preferred name.  I have been working in Hospitality for over 15 years in various roles with the willingness to learn and grow have been in leadership roles for over 10 years. I love the field that I work in, as it offers the ability to blend so many particular skills all in one. Being in the bartending field teaches one to be be knowledgeable processes through science, math, artistic presentation, history, geography, detail, accuracy and social skills. I am passionate about learning brand new skills as well as sharing any knowledge gained onto others not only colleagues, but customers as well. When combing all the social, technical and presentation skills to creating something for guests to have a memorable experience is rewarding and satisfying. I enjoy wine and have participated in various tastings locally in Ontario and abroad in New Zealand, Australia, and Northern California to name a few. I love the cocktails and have participated in cocktail competitons is in the past including Bombay, Diageo, and Jim Beam. I am known to be extremely relatable to my guests and have a track record of building successful business with returning regular guests both local and international. Also have a success with sustaining and working both individually and as a team where employee turnover is extremely low. Looking to share my experiences with a company and or brand that I can both showcase my skills as well as learn and grow.
