About Rylan Carnegie:
In my welding career I have had the opportunity to experience many facets of the industry. My
initial experience concentrated on large scale projects for the Mining and Sawmill Industry. Later, I
became more focused on the Mining and Aggregate industry, including fabrication and welding from
initial design through to completion of the project. That knowledge led me to another aspect of
maintenance, repair and refurbishing of equipment. This combined experience developed a well-
rounded perspective of both fab shop and field work, leaving me equally comfortable working in either
environment. As you will see, my resume demonstrates that my experience, combined with a quest for
knowledge and a desire for challenge, has naturally led me to some exciting opportunities.
Experience
Over the span of both my welding and firefighting career, I have had the privilege of receiving
outstanding mentorship. Undoubtably the most valuable, from their exemplary leadership, I learned to
communicate effectively with people from all walks of life, taking great pride in my own ability to lead
and manage crews. One of the most fulfilling experiences of my life was being a member of the Lake
Country Fire Department. My time there taught me beneficial life skills too numerous to mention, skills I
appreciate and put into use every day. My participation in firefighting as well as athletics over the years
has not only given me the ability to work equally well independently or as part of a team, but the ability
to quickly adapt to a situation, think ahead and effectively problem solve
