I am a second-year Computational Mathematics major, and I am excited to apply for the internship position at FarmLink Marketing Solutions. I am very interested in working with you as a Jr, Software Developer. I am a Data and Software engineer and have worked on several projects, with the motive to innovate with purpose.

Last term, I had the opportunity to work at Intact with the AI Engineering team as a Business Analyst. This was a great experience, I had the opportunity to learn a lot about how Data and Cloud technologies are used for business enhancement. I was able to develop my professional soft skills by working with a great team. I was able to work with Quality Assurance, DevOps and Business Analysts to complete assigned tasks and projects.

My most recent personal project was to analyze Twitter data from prominent individuals and organizations. I used the Twitter API to extract public user data. I had to apply R to analyze tweet quality, timing & engagement for prominent users in the study. I used statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing, CIs, PPDAC, & linear regression to discover insights for optimizing user interaction. I concluded by providing recommendations by using a combination of my technical prowess in data analysis and my understanding of social media forces. I invite you to check out the project.

I worked on a search engine. It used a group of programs to emulate the properties of a search. Through the project, I learned a lot of course concepts in database design and software development. I used SQL, Javascript and mostly Python for the project to create a web crawler and a database. And used the Page Rank Algorithm to rank webpages in order of relevance. I worked on a big data analysis project that helped its clients understand any company's inner workings and targets with the help of the company's email data. For the project, I learned a lot of course concepts in database design, data manipulation and HTTP procedures. I used open-sourced visualization programs to create a visualization of the data.  I invite you to check out the project.

Throughout my professional experience, I have worked as a Business Analyst at Intact Labs and RLB LLP, gaining expertise in data analysis and project implementation. At Intact, I developed a code analysis pipeline, collaborated with QA and DevOps, and documented legacy ETL pipelines. I also worked on various projects, such as a Mini Search Engine and an Undefeatable TIC TAC TOE game, showcasing my proficiency in Python and dynamic programming. Additionally, I conducted a Twitter Analysis project, utilizing R and statistical techniques to optimize social media engagement. My certifications in Machine Learning and Python specialization further highlight my technical skills and commitment to professional growth. As a third-year Computational Mathematics major, I eagerly seek opportunities to contribute my knowledge and expertise to the field of software development.

My most relevant education includes pursuing a Bachelor of Mathematics Honours at the University of Waterloo, with a Double Major in Computational Mathematics and Statistics. Throughout my academic journey, I have achieved a GPA of 3.58 and received prestigious awards such as the President's Scholarship of Distinction and President's Upper-Year Awards. My coursework has provided a strong foundation in key programming languages like Python, R, SQL, C#, Java, and JavaScript. Additionally, I have gained expertise in various frameworks and tools, including MongoDB, Apache Kafka, MySQL, Power BI, Docker, and Kubernetes. These academic achievements and technical skills make me well-prepared to excel in the field of software development and data analysis.
