Hello!
My name is Sally, and I am currently in my final year at Capilano University, where I study Early Childhood Care and Education. I have my ECE Assistant and a first aid certificate. Our program emphasizes the importance of allowing children to explore the world independently, celebrating individuality, and supporting self-expression without imposing rigid notions of right and wrong.
Outside of school, I am a self-employed lash technician, offering services from home to maintain a flexible schedule. Additionally, I manage a small Vancouver-based store, balancing both roles effectively.
Experience
I have gained valuable experience through volunteering and practicums at various childcare centres including the SFU Morning Side Centre, Happy May Centre, and The North Shore Neighbourhood House Learning Together Centre. Additionally in high school, I assisted teachers with planning lessons, grading assignments, and preparing students for transitions between subjects.
Education
I am a high school graduate currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education (ECE) degree program. Additionally, I hold a certificate for an ECE Assistant position.
