-Assume responsibility for Veterans needing complex care
-Post operative management & physical assessments
- IV initiation and management, venipuncture and interpreting bloodwork results
- Insert Foley and I/O catheters and assessing for complications
- Insert subcutaneous butterfly and assessing for complications
- Palliative/ End of life care
- Charge duties: Assigning workload and delegation of tasks as required to staff
- Working collaboratively with other members of the health care team to ensure all concerns are appropriately and effective addressed for each patient.

-Report concerns to community manager as appropriate and address concerns with reg- istered and non-registered staff on unit
