Samuel Lemieux

 My name is Samuel Lemieux. I studied at Musitechnic in Montreal, as an audio engineer. I am currently working for the FEQ back in Quebec as a structural machinist. It consists in building and assembling the stages and readying them for the shows to come and also disassemble them once the festival is over. I have done many internships as sound tech in conferences, bars, student radio stations and at occasions, in my own studio for artists. I have also worked as management for theater plays, managing the budget aspects for the realizations of the plays, also making sure everything arrives on time and therefore at the end, writing a financial report to analyze the success and the low points of the execution. Therefore all these experiences make me someone great to work in teams, someone ready to learn new skills for any type of job and a person who wants to deliver quality work. Between my jobs, either I was traveling or on a sound contract.

Mon nom est Samuel Lemieux. J’ai étudié chez Musitechnic pour être Ingénieur de Son. Je travaille présentement au FEQ à Québec comme machiniste de structure. Mon poste consiste à monter les scènes et préparer le terrain pour accueillir les spectacles et spectateurs et une fois le festival terminé, démonter le tout. J’ai fait plusieurs stages dans le milieu en tant qu’ingénieur de son dans des conférences, des bars, dans des radios étudiantes et à l’occasion dans mon propre studio maison pour aider des artistes émergeant à enregistrer leurs matériel. J’ai aussi participé à l’organisation et planification de deux pièces de théâtres pour mon école secondaire, où j'ai dû m’occuper du financement et du bon déroulement des évènements. À la fin, nous avons dû écrire un bilan financier pour voir si nous avions bien réussi l’objectif de cumuler de l’argent pour ainsi redonner à l’école. Entre les emplois, sur le CV, sois j’étais en voyage ou je faisais des contrats de son.
