I am 53 and living on a farm in Amaranth.  I actively managed and performed tasks on this farm until 2020.  I am Married, 2 grandchildren.  I am energetic, have many transferrable skills, and need to keep busy.

Experience

I have a broad business career, details follow. 

In summary, I have 22 years in Jobs and Job costing, Management of: projects, warehouse, distribution, operations, logistics and complex services.  Close collaboration and involvement with accounting, doing all config and setup tasks and testing configurations at the highest level, including account schedules, GL setup, etc.  HR and Payroll.  11 Years in Architecture-Design Build Projects managed; 8 projects.

I joined Lineman’s Testing Lab (LTL) in 1999 to deploy a sales management software, configuring it as a scheduler, and creating reports and processes to run it in a Job division of LTL.  I was responsible for the computer systems, becoming IT manager, and titled Office manager initially.  My success in redefining the contracting division’s operating model, from a system perspective, and an operating method, gave me the roots for the rest to come. I took over the whole operation, developed procedures and processes to improve efficiency, while managing the system infrastructure.  As the business expanded I expanded the IS infrastructure, sourced equipment, and did all the hiring, while managing the operation, warehouse, distribution and logistics.  Throughout this period, I used AutoCAD (from my electrical Technician diploma training), to design equipment and layout entire operation floorplan and operating equipment.  I managed all Projects, including the Edmonton Branch Startup in 2007. I Managed this branch, travelling to it on a regular basis, until 2010. In 2015, I managed a second relocation for Edmonton with Design Build requirements.  In 2012 I managed LTL’s relocation to a 53k square ft warehouse, doing all architecture, schedules for the build, including sewer, plumbing, electrical, data, walls, doors and windows.  This was my second, Edmonton being the first.  I also did 5 residential Design Build projects between 2007 and 2018.  For the design build projects, I managed all Design, permits, schedules, contractors.  Throughout my career at LTL, I managed the IS infrastructure.  In 2016 I managed the Dynamics Nav ERP upgrade as the solution architect, working with developers and other consultants with ‘Go live’ June 2017.  Following this, I managed dozens of ERP related projects, data Analysis continued.  I performed all database setup and config tasks.  Orientation and training of executives. 2019 Payroll migration to Dayforce, I did all the setup and data tasks for this deployment.  Consulting on all aspects of the business. 

Education

Electrical Engineering Technician taught me basic programming and AutoCAD use, and introduced me to all things electrical, and code interpretation.  All these were used throughout my career.  Working in an expanding business and taking on HR, this expanded my business skills which came to me naturally.  I have a natural interest in finance; mathematics and Science; these are my prominent strengths.
