Faizi Hospital is a government hospital located in Sargodha Pakistan. This hospital was established in 2008 and has 500 beds. The building has 6 floors with two ER facilities one for surgery and orthopedics and the second one for medicine and cardiology. The hospital comprises of 12 departments. I am currently work as a medical officer in the Emergency medicine department in Faizi Hospital Sargodha. This department contains 150 beds ( 120 in the ward and 30 in the ER). Approximately 500-750 patients are checked and treated daily in the ER department. I have been working in the ER for approximately 2 years. My role and responsibility includes taking detailed medical histories of all patients in both the OPD and ER (depends on the duty assigned). I also perform necessary examinations and appropriate tests and send them to the labs. I counsel patients and their families about possible allergies, medications or procedures needed to be done. I also educate patients on the importance of medication and diet. I maintain patient confidentiality and provide patients with a list of support groups in the community. I collect, record, and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history, and reports. I discuss and evaluate new pharmaceutical products with pharmaceutical representatives. My role involves to keep up-to-date with medical developments, treatment, and medication. I also observe and assess the work of young junior doctors who have just completed their internship and have started working.I have also performed the following procedures during my time as a medical officer

I learnt to recognize my own limitations in patient care with appropriate referral
