I am a highly motivated Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelor of Science with Dental Hygiene Specialization Degree from the University of Alberta seeking an opportunity to pursue a career in the tech health sector. My educational institution had an emphasis on public health initiatives and empowered and prepared the students to advocate for health care transformation through our profession. I have been able to cultivate my experience working in client-oriented practices where I apply my knowledge and skills in providing oral health care services, educational health promotion strategies all while building client confidence and autonomy. I have had professional experience in education, project management and being a clinician in the health care industry. I worked as a swim instructor with the City of Calgary. Through this, I developed strong verbal communication skills by providing constructive feedback to children and parents, to encourage personalized success. Experienced personal growth and development of leadership qualities that came with conducting a swim class with a personalized lesson plan for specific swim levels with children ranging from 2-17 years of age. I also worked at ABES College as an admission recruiter and also stepped into the role of project manager for the HCA licensing application. I analyzed the needed requirements, communicating relevant tasks to the leads of each team, collected the required data and organized it in the application for approval with attention to detail. In the recruiter role, I worked with lead generation using Airtable CRM. Currently, I am working at a clinic providing dental hygiene care using a client-centered approach to evaluate client’s needs, develop a client-centered diagnosis and treatment plan and work with the client to implement the treatment plan successfully. I have also stepped into a leadership role within the clinic by identifying issues in our processes and headed the initiative to come up with innovative solutions that aligned with our clinic’s core values and streamlined our procedures for success.
