About Stephen Ramroop:

I am a 61 year old retired Orthopedic Surgeon who also did an MBA in Healthcare Management and served as a Medical Chief of Staff of a 775 bed acute care hospital in Trinidad and Tobago and acted as CEO and Executive Medical Director on a number of occasions as well as served as a CEO of the National Disaster Authority of the Ministry fo National Security for six years 2011 to 2017.

I also did my MSc in Forensic Medicine at the University of Florida and graduated in March 2022 and now facilitate and develop courses at the University of Trinidad and Tobago in Enterprise Risk Management in Healthcare and Root Cause Analysis to mitigate adverse events and negligence lawsuits. I recently concluded a course for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in Trinidad and Tobago in the course mentioned above.

I am in the process of migrating to Canada as my wife and I have been granted permanent resident status. We expect to land in February/March 2023 under the parents program as my two daughters are citizens in Ontario Canada.

I have over 40 years in management positions in healthcare, emergency medicine and disaster management serving as CEO and senior management positions. I am a Past District Governor 2012-2013 in the Rotary District 7030 in the Caribbean serving as the Chairman of the Caribbean Partnership of Zones 33/34 USA and Caribbean.
