I have bene working with the team to engage stewards from the data domains early with why an enterprise catalog is important to them to support one of the 5 pillars of Wawanesa for Data Foundations. The catalog will have User experience front of mind for the non-IT user. Yet still delivering value to the IT user.

• Created a governance process for data classification ensuring a data sensitivity audit is conducted quarterly.
• Produced a Data Enablement roadmap and strategy for the DAO office for deliverables in 2024.
• Working with the team to produce a series of best practice guides for the technical and non-technical producer and consumer of data for data profiling, data quality, data catalog best practices. The goal is to improve data literacy around data governance and good data practices at Wawanesa.
Technical Data Governance SME that contributes to a companies success by facilitating and delivering the overall design and evolution of Wawanesa’s enterprise information architecture. o Working alongside SMEs and Data stewards, created the Information Model for architecture to align data classification at the data object level. This will then be leveraged in the data catalog tool.
o Lead the data classification initiative for data within the Wawanesa firewall. Ensuring that systems and data objects defined with the systems are clearly classified. Working with IS Risk, IS Security and Internal Audit as well as domain architects. The outcome of this design will be leveraged at the user level so that all data used will have a classification level clearly identified.
