Dr. Sylvain Roy is a neuropsychologist and systems leader with over 15 years of experience spanning clinical service delivery, digital health innovation, policy development, and academic leadership. His career bridges the public, private, and non-profit sectors, focusing on improving access to psychological and neurorehabilitation services for individuals with complex mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.
As Director of Strategic Initiatives at Strata Health (now VitalHub), Dr. Roy has led digital transformation initiatives that modernize referral, matching, and integration pathways across hospitals, primary care, and community agencies. As Clinical Lead for AskForHelpToday.ca, a not-for-profit platform of the Ontario Psychological Association, he has spearheaded the development of a province-wide digital referral system that improves access to psychological care and supports system-level data insights.
At the Inner City Family Health Team, Dr. Roy provides neuropsychological services to individuals with disabilities experiencing homelessness and leads innovative programs such as Bridges to Housing and Connecting the Dots, in collaboration with the City of Toronto, MCCSS, and Ontario Health. His earlier work at CAMH and Community Head Injury Resource Services (CHIRS) focused on assessment, rehabilitation, and program leadership for persons with acquired brain injury and complex mental illness.
A former Adjunct Professor at York University and past President of the Ontario Psychological Association, Dr. Roy is also a respected policy advocate who has engaged ministries, municipalities, and national associations to advance integrated, ethical, and person-centered mental health care.
