Taylor Truong

Fourth year Health Sciences student attending the University of Waterloo. I have been a part of many extracurriculars since high school which have taught me the importance of interpersonal and leadership skills. Since then, I have applied these skills to various experiences in retail and patient care. My interests are heavily related to the upstream approach of health.

Recreationist Assistant, County of Simcoe – Simcoe Village (May 2021 – September 2022)

• Assisting in effectively assessing individual needs, program planning, and evaluation including special events and day trips.
• Implementing 1:1 and group recreation activities for 32 clients. 
• Continuous collaboration as a team member in providing client centered care and service.
• Maintaining an organized and effective schedule of programs and record keeping of day-to-day statistics.

Customer Service Representative, LCBO (May 2020 – December 2021)

• Confidently promoted sales and assisted customers in selection of products by identifying individual needs. 
• Provided personalized advice and knowledge of products during each interaction. 
• Conversational in French and able to assist French speaking customers. 
• Efficiently addressed customers’ concerns by being point of contact for communication and provided support. 
• Responsibly process cash, debit, credit and check transactions using point-of-sale systems.
