Hello.
I'm an 18 year old kid who's currently taking a gap year off school to explore new experiences and build valuable life skills. My communication skills come into play as an assistant hockey coach, where communicating strategies and plays is crucial for effective execution. with the players. As a timekeeper, I was responsible for accurately operating the score clock and maintaining game records, a role that demanded a high level of reliability. This sense of dependability extends to my participation in competitive hockey, where commitment and reliability are paramount. I also strive to impart this value to the young players I coach, emphasizing its importance both on and off the ice. Dependability and time management are complementary skills. Time management is a skill I've refined over the years, balancing academic responsibilities with sports and work commitments. This ability to prioritize and manage time effectively is a highly transferable skill that will serve me well in any professional setting. In all my roles, team collaboration has been a consistent theme. Whether it was the maintenance work at Elmira District Community Living or the high-paced environment at McDonald's, I've always been a contributing member of a team. My ability to multitask and coordinate with other team members has been honed through these experiences, as well as my involvement in competitive hockey

I feel like my experience at Elmira district community living was the best experience I could ever have, I got to work with so many different trades and really got to dip my toe into every work experience. From building a deck too refinishing a whole basement. 

But the main learning experience I had was working with people I got to work with 3 clients at Elmira, but one thing that stuck out to me is that my communication skills. We would have to be there with them for 3 to 2 hours and we were just have to supervise talk me conversation and make sure they stay on task stuff like that.

I am an 18-year-old who has just finished high school last year. I graduated with my diploma and now currently just trying to figure out where I wanna go to school and what I want to go to school for so I can hopefully start applying to colleges and universities by the new year.
