Thomas McLachlan

I am a self-taught artist with a strong foundation in colour theory and a deep interest in art history, exploring how movements, styles, and techniques shape visual expression. I actively work across multiple mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, and digital art, as well as music, continually experimenting to expand my creative range. This year, I am producing a Polaroid project and releasing a book capturing images of my city, Guelph, in the middle of the decade, aiming to create a historical snapshot from 2025. I also work at a pottery studio, where I have experience on the pottery wheel, lead kids’ pottery projects, and organize birthday parties, combining creativity with hands-on teaching. My diverse interests and experience across art forms allow me to explore and express ideas in unique and personal ways.
