About me:

I am a nurse in the field of practice since 1999. My accomplishments include heading up a team of nurses for a large pharmaceutical contract that was obtained.  I was responsible for ensuring all aspects of developing the team from hiring, to training, to supervision, contract negotiation, quality assurance.  I am what you would call a people person. My ability to adapt to different environments and differing types of persons have provided and ease in developing relationships with partners and employees that are working with me.  I am seeking to expand my clinical practice allowing me to find a long term commitment that will continue to stimulate me in my day to day.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Experience:

Most recent job being assistant to the head nurse in home care community health organization.  I was responsible for 39+ nurses, ensuring quality training, clinical support, day to day housekeeping such as scheduling, payroll.  Throughout the difficult time of the pandemic, I was able to develop and put in place a training program for patient attendants, an orientation for new staff , a supportive relationship with partners in the community, overhaul their government elimination program processes and work at harmonizing relationships that would increase productivity and create a more harmonious environment between departments.

Prior to this job, I was supervising a team of nurses who were contracted to work as clinical specialists in the area of neurology, rheumatology, oncology and more.  I ensured the training, provided support either in person or by phone, developed online training programs and ensured quality care was provided to patients via support visits and engagement meetings.  Patient visits were required to be done by myself should there be a cancellation or sick employee, hence maintaining my nursing skill in practice.
