Uésio Santos

I am a Ph.D. Candidate and researcher in History, specializing in the history of science and technology, neurodiversity, and disability studies. My work intersects with the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology, primarily in the 20th and 21st centuries. With over ten years of experience in teaching, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and IT project management, I possess a diverse skill set. I hold several certifications in information security, service management, and data science, including I27001IA, I20000A, ITIL4, SFC, SDLP, LSSYB, and ICSI-CNSS.
My extensive experience spans IT management, education, and research. As a Ph.D. candidate at Western University, my academic pursuits are enriched by hands-on roles in IT management. In these roles, I have managed ICT projects, overseen personnel development, and implemented technological solutions for public services.
As an educator and researcher, my focus areas include Neurodiversity, Disability Studies, Philosophy and History of Science and Technology, History of Atlantic Slavery, and Brazilian History. I am committed to leveraging technology in education and have conducted research on the use of digital tools, particularly for neurodivergent groups.
My expertise in Data Science, underpinned by training as a data scientist, enables me to analyze and interpret complex datasets effectively. This skill set not only drives insights and fosters informed decision-making but also enhances my research in the social sciences.
