I am a resident of Kelowna, B.C. I have held my Class 1 / Air license for several decades. 

I have held a BC Class 1 / Air license for many years. I have dry van, reefer, flat deck and combination 7 & 8 axle train /Super-B experience, mostly in carrying forest products, and general freight (LTL/TL), and tankers carrying liquid bulk petroleum fuels, liquid asphalt emulsions and cryogenic liquefied compressed gasses. 

As well, I have experience with Truck & Pony dump trucks, End Dumps and SuperB Side Dump trailers, and with 6,7 & 8 axle truck logging in winter on/off road conditions in both BC and in Alberta. As a professional driver, safety is always my first priority, and I am confident in my ability to transport heavy truck configurations safely in year-round, all weather conditions.

I have past certifications in CPPI, TDG ~ WHMIS, Propane handling, H2S Gas Alive orientation, and with The Smith System Driver Improvement Institute. I will pass a drug screen and a Criminal Record History check, and I will complete all other DOT requirements and courses needed to work in your work environment.

As an Owner Operator

My power unit is a 2013 Volvo VNL730 16.1 liter truck tractor, heavy Super-B specification. This truck was built for Gibson Energy in Alberta. The current CVI was completed in April /2023, and all maintenance is up to date. This truck is a strong, yet economical runner and she needs nothing more than to be licensed to get back on the road and back to work. I would run under your company authority and insurance as an Owner Operator, ‘leased on’ dependent contractor / proprietor.

I've hauled everything from Soup to Nuts, both literally and figuratively speaking.

I am a graduate of The School Of Hard Knocks. I've learnt most of what I know of the transportation and logistics supply chain industry form the ground up. Attaining my class 1 driver's license was merely the first step, with all of my ‘education’ coming from the many years of practical ‘on the job’  experience. This includes using properly using  load tie-down equipment and correct load security techniques

The education never stops, regardless of how many years I've had as a professional driver, or the number of miles I've driven. I've always believed in the evolution of things; the evolution of the trucking industry from where it was when I first started out to where it is today, and in the evolution of keeping my own skills set current and up to date.

A number of years back, though I'd already had more than 20-years practical experience under my belt, I enrolled in an advanced driver training course for professional drivers. This is The Smith System Advanced Driving Traffic Safety Seminar, a driver improvement course comprised in both the classroom environment and in the truck, supervised by a certified Smith System trainer supervisor. Essentially, a next level defensive driving course for professional drivers.

I took much of what I'd learnt and practiced over the years and applied this skill, giving practical instruction to well-experienced highway tuck drivers entering the logging industry; diving super heavy weight and extended length logging truck configurations on frozen off-road industrial roads. This included using correct radio procedures on radio controlled roads and how and when to use both the brake and throttle at the same time to maintain control of the truck when driving on ice.
