Willa Morton

I am a driven and hardworking, third year student at Queen’s University, currently pursuing a degree in Psychology. I'm fascinated by how people think and how various influences, such as advertising and the media, shape society. I earned a diploma in Interactive Media Arts from Dawson college, where I studied film, event planning, programming, and video game creation. I have been privileged to live and travel in many parts of the world with my family, friends, exchange programs and sports teams. I have gained valuable marketing expertise regarding guest services, local exploration and the creation and maintenance of online content. For many years, I worked for a small Maple business in Vermont focusing on labeling and packaging duties, designing the website and conducting food demonstrations. I am driven by a strong desire to work in the marketing field after graduation, where I can continue to demonstrate my abilities and enthusiasm.

I was a marketing assistant at KINGSTON 1,000 ISLANDS CRUISES last year where I helped with marketing tasks like planning and creating original content, updating web material, and tracking digital performance. I also demonstrated knowledge of MailChimp, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premier Pro. My job was to dispense knowledge of producing, editing, exporting, and uploading digital media as well as offering bilingual customer support by phone, email and live chat.

I worked in Sales and production for a small maple business called Tonewood Maple in Fayston Vermont. My job was to represent the company at food trade shows across the United States, maintain vendor booths at farmers markets in Vermont, execute labeling, packaging and shipping responsibilities as well as design and build the company's website with aesthetic appeal.

I am a psychology major currently in my third year at Queen's University. Before that, I received a diploma at Dawson College in Montreal in Interactive Media Arts, studying film, event planning, marketing, video game design, programming and graphic design.
