Winnie Cai

I am a passionate Urban Studies Graduate interested in how we as people shape the urban environment around us and how our next steps towards shaping the city can affect citizen wellbeing. I have recently graduated from the University of Calgary and am currently volunteering with the Federation of Calgary Communities to provide feedback on how various urban issues in Calgary have affected the livelihood of city dwellers. 

I have worked at the Calgary Tai Chi & Martial Arts College from 2016 to present in a variety of fast-paced workplace environments where I have planned, organized, and managed 5 different classes of youth of various ages and skillsets. This has allowed me to adapt and create innovative engagement strategies effectively and has pushed me to create a collaborative environment for discussion and education. 

I also have experience as a Information Specialist with Umi Talent as I have the ability to engage and communicate strong visions, ideas, and messages to clients. With my experience in engagement I am able to effectively problem-solve in a dynamic fast-paced environment to collect information and data. 

I recently received my Bachelor's in Arts majoring in Urban Studies degree at the University of Calgary with a GPA of 3.44/ 4.0 during the year 2022
