Yizhen Huang

Hi there! I'm Ellie. I am a Design Strategist and a Design Researcher.  I come from a visual arts background but not blinded by pure appearances. I thrive on tackling complexities, sweating critical details, and designing for a sustainable future.

I have a solid foundation in visual hierarchy, composition, and colour theory, as well as a mindset of craftsmanship. During previous professional experiences, I developed expertise in graphic design, public information, and visual communication. With a strong interest in designing for people and a strong desire to create things, I am constantly learning and honing my abilities in human-centered design, rapid prototyping, and design research, aspiring to bridge between art and technology and design for the future of human-computer interactions.

I am pursuing Master of Design degree from the Digital Futures Program at OCAD University. I have a MA degree from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London and a BA from Mount Holyoke College. I am a current Research Assistant at Bodies In Play Lab and a Design Researcher at University Health Network.
