Mission

Our mission is to deliver great value to our customers every day. We do this by offering a rapidly changing assortment of quality, fashionable, brand name, and designer merchandise generally 20% to 60% below full-price retailers’ (including department, specialty, and major online retailers) regular prices on comparable merchandise. With our value proposition, we reach a broad range of fashion- and value-conscious customers across many income levels and demographic groups.

We are the leading off-price retailer of fashion and homeware worldwide. Our brands in Europe are TK Maxx and Homesense, while elsewhere in the world we have Marshalls, Winners, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Sierra Trading Post and Trade Secret.

TJX introduced its unique off-price business model to the UK and Ireland in 1994. The concept turns conventional fashion and home interiors retailing on its head.

Our buyers are constantly visiting and building relationships with suppliers all over the world. They have the freedom to buy any products they believe are right for our customers. As a result, every day is different, whether you work in Head Office, in Distribution or on the shop floor.

The off-price business model has been very successful for us and we’re growing all the time. Currently, we have over 500 TK Maxx stores and over 40 Homesense stores in Europe, offering contemporary, high-quality fashion and homeware at up to 60% less than the recommended retail price. We have big plans to open more stores in the next few years – and that’s alongside our TK Maxx e-commerce website.

Head Office – Watford

Our UK & Ireland Head Office team is delighted to have recently moved into our new European HQ directly opposite Watford Junction station, just north of London. From here, the team drives the delivery of our business strategy, keeping stores exciting and relevant, supporting our associates, crunching the numbers and delivering amazing brand campaigns.

Keeping our global business moving forward is exciting. Behind the scenes, our Head Offices support the delivery of our business strategy. Our Property team ensures that our stores are on point. Our Store Operations team create a great experience in our stores for our customers. Our HR team supports and develops our associates. Our Brand and Marketing team delivers amazing brand campaigns. Our Finance team crunches the numbers to support every function of the business.

At TJX Europe, we offer a number of graduate and placement programmes across Merchandising and Buying, Finance, IT and Brand and Marketing based in our Head Office in Watford. We also offer a number of apprenticeship schemes across Buying Operations, Finance, Retail, HR and Customer Service.

All our programmes begin with a comprehensive induction course, which includes both classroom and practical workshops combined with on-the-job learning, designed to help you to take on responsibility from the start. However, your training and development journey doesn’t end here; at TJX we foster a continuous learning culture, and offer ongoing development and learning through structured workshops, peer-to-peer sharing, storytelling, and team-building at every level.
