Ooops. I deleted my comment by accident. Doh.

Maybach is indeed one of the coolest ultra luxury cars ever. Especially the technology inside, many of the accessories are "electrified" such as engine controls, engine cooling , seat adjusters and so on.

One other car in this category should be the Koenigsegg Regera. But in this one, the interior is rather "retro" and not "futuristic."

Yes, one of the coolest luxury cars. And the technology inside is amazing, with plenty of "electrified" functions previously driven by the gasoline engine.

Another car that may be on this list is the Koenigsegg Regera -- but this interior is a little bit "retro" and not "futuristic."

Twenty year sago a post like this would have been seen as someone who lost the fruit loops bowl. Today its sage advice. Sadly we do live in the world described. Entertainment venues where large crowds are drawn seem to be the magnet for such events. Choke points and venues that leave folks vulnerable.

Yellow, relaxed, alert begins in picking venues. A venue i might attend alone is different than with my wife and quite different when i attend with grandchildren.

The key point made is that active shootings start and finish prior to police arrival. Time is part of your strategy. I need only to survive for the time it takes for professionals to appear. In your scenario you must consider time as part of yes and no to the venue.

It is sad when freedom is driven from our life by a fellow citizen. I don't believe the founding fathers saw this one coming. Except in providing the second amendment.

I think people who fancy this kind of nonsense not just believe in ghosts, they actually rely on them! It's funny how this issue of meaningless jargon is evident not merely in the business world, but also, to some extent, in the scientific community. Many "scientists" make use of fancy terms, oftentimes void of meaning, to convey some new concept they have discovered / invented, which may or may not have the impact they assume. However, people reading their stuff, oftentimes get impressed by it and as they may not have adequate time to research it further, they end up idolizing these concepts, even if they are more often than not, unoriginal ideas. Same goes with the reverse situation. A scientist may come up with a novel idea or methodology, and because he doesn't dress it up with fancy terms, it remains unnoticed and never receives the traction it deserves. Perhaps we need to look into the meaning of the words we use, rather than their impression on our minds...

To me this raises the question re adjustment to time changes. Is jet-lag more or less dangerous to our health than six monthly daylight savings? It seems to me if we accept "the four terrible effects" then if you only have to "suffer" them every six months you at less risk than a frequent flier who can have far greater time changes to contend with in a short period. What percentage of people for example suffer heart attacks as a result of time saving measures compared with those who have one after suffering jet-lag?

This was great @Steve Blakeman. I think I'm in love with Baxter. Again, you have a way using analogies or shall I say in this case, a dog to get your points across. You mean to tell me he doesn't converse back with you? That's okay, my dog doesn't either and yes, I talk to my dog too! Canines have a strong sixth sense and people do too if they are aware and hone into it. I'm just glad I don't have to sniff a butt when I'm getting to know someone. Ewe, I felt gross writing that LOL but it still made me laugh.

How did I miss this gem the first time around?

Can I add a tenth lesson? If you can't eat it, and you can't hump it, piss on it! Dogs know what's truly important and what's not.

Excellent advice, @Steve Blakeman. A big thanks to Baxter who in his own adorable ways taught us some great life lessons that we all need to know. And a big thanks to you for interpreting his behavior into this beautiful compilation of ca(nine) reasons of what we can learn from a Baxter. I love his name and he is utterly adorable. I hope his leg is completely healed by now and wish him good health.

I think cats have some of these innate skills too @zacharias but as pack animals dogs are more social and arguably demonstrate more human traits IMHO!

I wish I had a wise dog like this. Still, the first point made here can actually be taught by a cat too! After all, a cat doesn't care about what you say behind his (or anyone else's) back :-)

#3 @Kevin Baker Great input!! I need to take more time "Post Sale" to show my appreciation. Currently I have a semi-generic email I send letting them know I appreciate their order, and now they will be talking to the project manager. However I rarely make it more personal then their name and company. I think this point could be very helpful for me to be able to create more repeat clients, and better relationships with those clients.

#2 When I was a broker in manufactured housing I struggled with poor word of mouth referrals . I was in such a hurry to get to the top of the hill and repeat. A very wise and trusted friend showed me I was missing out on the power of gratitude and how I was leaving my customers feeling incomplete. After the sale I take the time to thank and show gratitude to each customer, and I stress the importance of sincerity as all of them know a snow job,(pun intended in theme), I explain with vulnerability how they have helped me to be a better person, better salesperson, and acknowledge their contributions to my life not just professionally, but also personally. I always got caught up in the detached professional side and was missing out so much. My average after changing this went from 6 ot 7 K per month to 30K+ every month, referrals came at a rate I had to give half of them away.
