Jim Murray ·   · This was done up at Anstruther Lake. I added it to my series entitled "Reds". Just little bits of red, but more than enough to qualify.

SCAN DE JOUR

Jim Murray · Pic de Jour: This is the boss, circa 1977, when we were living on the Lightfoot estate in Rosedale. That was a crazy three years. But we made it through, and we saved enough money during that time to afford a decent downpayment on our first house. Thanks Gord.

Scan De Jour 12/31/21

Jim Murray · This was the entrance to our next door neighbour's house when we lived in Rosedale in Gord Lighfoot's coach house. The guy's name was Hugh. He had a lot of cats, and during the three years we lived there, he served 18 months in prison for some white collar crime he committed. He ...

Scan de Jour: Dec 28/21

Jim Murray · This is a lady named Sunshine. (Her ordinary name was Sue). She was a friend Cath Paget's who became a good friend for a number of years. She had a store on Queen Street and a pure hippie in the best sense of the word. She was a lovely lady and really like our other friend Jim Ro ...

Scan de Jour: 12/23/21

Jim Murray · This was done down at Kew Beach in Toronto on a windy day in the winter. I made it black and white because it actually looks more primordial that way.

Jim Murray · This little lady was someone I met at a craft show at city hall. She saw I had a camera and asked me if I would take her picture. Her mom was right behind her. She just smiled and nodded, so I shot the pic. She seemed really happy about it. I gave the mom my email address, but ne ...

SCAN DE JOUR

Jim Murray · This little lady would now be in her late 40s or early 50s by now. She is one of the residents of Little Tancook Island, where our friend Cath Paget took us when we went down to Nova Scotia to visit her. Nova Scotia is a magical place. The light reflecting off the ocean makes all ...

Scan De Jour

Jim Murray · When the kids were young'uns, we would occasionally take them to Ontario Place. They liked the waterpark and the playground. I can't remember if we ever took them to Cinesphere. This is one of the shots I got there.

SCAN DE JOUR

Jim Murray · There was a time, before kids, that we would go to the Ex (Canadian National Exhibition). I liked to wander around and shoot pictures there and people watch. You really did see all kinds of people there, and the candied peanuts are great.

SCAN DE JOUR

Jim Murray · This is one of a number of shots I took at Little Tancook Island in Mahone Bay, (nova Scotia). It seemed like everywhere I looked there was something interesting to photograph. I would have taken lots more shots if I'd had a digital camera back then.

SCAN DE JOUR

Jim Murray · I wasn't really much for artificial lighting in my shots. And in the winters, I liked the way the grey clouds would white out the windows. I didn't take a lot of selfies, I was more interested in pointing the camera the other way. This would have been sometime in the late seventi ...
