Position Overview:


NATURE OF WORK


Under the direction of the Exhibits /Property Control Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to the Exhibits/Property Control Department.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Entering data into Naviline
  • Answering and responding to telephone inquiries
  • Processing lost and found inquiries (intake, callbacks)
  • Ordering office supplies and assisting with maintaining inventory
  • Assisting with ensuring receiving is recorded, handled, and properly stored and/or delivered based on contents
  • First point of contact at Exhibits / Property Control window in processing requests from employees
  • Assisting with ensuring all shipping requests are completed on time and recorded properly
  • Performs general office duties as required including keyboarding, photocopying, filing, and shredding of documents
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:


  • A proficiency level of knowledge in Microsoft Office Systems
  • Strong organization skills
  • Use of standard office equipment
  • Successful completion of security clearance and integrity interview requirements of the Saint John Police Force
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Office Administration from NBCC or Business Certificate 1 from UNB or an equivalent program.
  • Current or previous experience working in a police environment is a definite asset.
