We're looking for a temporary part-time

Health Care Aides to join our Evanston Grand Village Nursing Care team, in Calgary, AB. If you're a qualified Health Care Aide, and you are a strong team player, then we'd like to hear from you


We are looking for someone who will:

  • Respect and promote the dignity, choices and individuality of each resident by recognizing them as a whole individual with unique cultural, spiritual and psychological needs;
  • Fosters a warm, friendly and caring environment for residents and coworkers
  • Has a passion for helping seniors live their best life.
  • Provide personal care to residents and provide assistance as required;
  • Perform delegated clinical procedures, record observations, report problem or condition changes to nurse supervisor and participate in team planning;
  • Assist resident and families during admission, moveout or transfer process by orientating them to other staff and residents and providing support as required;
  • Use medical and mobility equipment safely, reporting any malfunctions to the nursing supervisor;
  • Assist with feeding and other mealservice related duties;
  • Interact with residents, guests and staff in a courteous and respectful manner;
  • Complete required documentation;
  • Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and,
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements Include:


  • Possesses a Certificate from a recognized Health Care Aide Program
  • Is a registered Health Care Aide in Alberta
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • Vulnerable Sector
  • Collaborates with the Nursing team and other Allied Health Professionals, to ensure efficient and effective care to our residents, reporting to the LPN in charge.
  • Effectively performs delegated clinical procedures, records observations, and reports issues of concern to the nurse supervisor
  • Has a Physician's waiver, negative TB screen and complete immunization record
  • Capable of work which involves extended periods of walking and standing
  • Capable of carrying out significant lifting, carrying, bending and reaching with appropriate techniques and equipment
