Directly supervise and record hourly productionJob Purpose
The Production Supervisor facilitates the manufacturing of window products by supervising staff, organizing and monitoring work-flow.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, assign, and direct production work
- Organize and prioritize production needs
- Make sure that products are to the highest grade and production standards
- Cultivate an environment that is conducive to teamwork
Shipping/Receiving_
- Detailed record keeping of all digital shipping documents
- Trucking arrangements via AWD shipping department
- Detailed shipping reports / Bill Of Landing
- Responsible for accuracy and completion of all materials shipped
- Responsible for ensuring that trucks are loaded in a timely manner to avoid trucking / Jobsite delays
- Ensure and monitor that deliveries are received and distributed to the right locations efficiently
- Scheduling of shipments of mill finish material for paint as required
Inventory Management_
- Monitor consumable inventory levels and submit purchasing requisitions as required based on developed inventory control levels
- Requisition of all job specific consumables that are required prior to the commencement of projects
- Shipment receipt ensuring quality and accuracy of received orders
- Responsible for pulling all job specific mill finish material for painting, ensuring material arrives an acceptable amount of time prior to the commencement of a project
- Responsible for mill finish inventory levels flagging reorder points as required
- Arrange material in sequence for production fabrication
- Record keeping of all purchase orders to ensure completion
- Inventory reduction
- To reduce existing inventory by 5% per quarter until an overall reduction off 40% of current is achieved
Process Control_
- Monitor and develop the workforce as needed:
- Ensuring all training records are up to date and archived with Human Resources
- Provide orientation to new employees as required
- Sign off for new employees on company guidelines and safety policies
- Provide appraisal on staff performance
- Facilitate continuous improvement through regular feedback, coaching & training
- Address employee complaints and resolve any problems
- As part of the disciplinary process, the supervisor is responsible for issuing verbal and written warnings to employees
- Process / Production improvement initiatives as required
- Maintain and promote organization of _tools, consumables, and material storage_
- Practice and demonstrate _good housekeeping_to promote an organized workplace
Project Monitoring_
Keep macro track of projects - confirming:
- Approved shop drawings
- Hardware schedule
- Material approvals
- Material order
- Door approval
- Door orders
- Map all material shipped to project presenting visual representation of project completion
- Including job checklist
- Map all material completed through production inclusive of dates production is completed to assist in dictating installation dates / shipping scheduling

Salary:
$20.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week

Experience:
- Manufacturing: 3 years (required)
