This hybrid role is three (3) days in office


Responsibilities:

Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including:
Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements

Defining the product vision

Ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals

Gain a deep understanding of customer experience:
Identify and fill product gaps

Generate new ideas that grow market share

Improve customer experience

Drive growth

Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

Develop product pricing and positioning strategies

Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes

Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact

Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources

Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members

Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed

Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding

Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services


General Skills:

Experience delivering MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification

Experience working with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities

Experience running beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples becoming an expert with respect to the competition

A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines, managing competing priorities and client relationship management experience


Skills:

Experience and Skill Set Requirements


Product Management - 50%

  • Extensive experience developing and owning product vision, strategy and roadmap for complex IT systems
  • Experience leading dynamic, crossfunctional teams in achieving common objectives through continuous design and delivery of usercentric products
  • Demonstrated strong decision making and prioritization skills
  • Proven success in managing all aspects of product development lifecycle from its inception to launch
  • Strong knowledge and experience with project management methodologies, principles and processes
  • Extensive experience with Agile methodology and managing product scope, budget and timelines
  • Extensive experience translating product vision into epics and user stories and managing the product backlog
  • Experience in assessing and analyzing customer needs, market trends, build vs buy decisions
  • Proven leadership and collaboration with design, UX, and engineering teams as well as other internal and external partners

Technical Experience - 20%

  • You are curious, with innovative engineering mindset and are able to understand complex technical concepts of the product
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams, diving into technical details and leading technical discussions
  • Extensive experience with modern technology stack and integration with legacy systems
  • Experience managing complex privacy, policy and security requirements throughout product design and delivery process
  • Experience delivering products that meet the standards under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and WCAG 2.1 AAA (also acceptable is WCAG 2.0 AA being the minimum legal requirement in Ontario )

Communication - 30%

  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills
  • Experience collaborating with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Extensive experience working and collaborating with a large and complex group of stakeholders
  • Communicates with clarity and is able to get ideas across to teams/stakeholders without ambiguity

Must Haves:
