Job Summary
Coordinate linehaul traffic for Overland West Freight Lines

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 9:00 - 5:30

Essential Functions:

As part of the linehaul team, establish, modify and execute nightly dispatch plan.
Update trip sheets & records in the dispatch system, ensuring the accuracy of miles paid and log hours.
Day to day communication, via phone and ELD, with drivers to ensure proper load instructions are passed along and carried out.
Communicate with cartage to ensure they meet inbound cut times.
Manage breakdown situations and follow up with maintenance to ensure that freight is moved through to destination as quickly as possible.
Monitor all outbound cutoff times to protect service.
Monitor linehaul driver performance.
Enlist and coordinate third party carriers to move overflow loads in a costefficient manner.
Track linehaul driver vacation schedules and keep information current
Minimum of
3 years linehaul dispatch experience in the logistic and transportation industry
Familiar with operations related to Long Combination Vehicles (LCV)
Strong organizational skills, planning skills, and multitasking ability
A customer service mindset and excellent communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic work environment
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Compensation & Benefits

Salary to be negotiated dependent on experience
