Scope of Role


As a Process Server, you will be an independent contractor of Hamilton-Toronto Area Process Serving Inc., using the corresponding Rules of Service to deliver legal documents to individuals/corporations with a high level of professionalism, while exercising discretion with respect to client confidentiality.


Job assignments are received and prepared in-office in Waterdown, Ontario, with the possibility that you attend to retrieve the same on a daily basis.

Alternate arrangements to retrieve work may be considered, if accommodations are necessary.

While present in-office, you will be expected to sign Affidavits of Service (prepared by office staff, based on your field notes) pertaining to your efforts.

In the alternative, signings may be completed on a case-by-case basis at mutually convenient locations.


Service Areas:

We are currently looking for agents who are willing to cover services in and around the below-noted areas:

  • London, Woodstock, Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph

Requirements:


  • Must have cellular phone with data to log details of efforts to serve in our Web App ability to navigate technology and Map apps are an asset;
  • Must have a valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle;
  • Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a recent Criminal Judicial Matters Check; and
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to work independently;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time appropriately within tight deadlines;
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality for the handling of sensitive information;
  • Problemsolving skills and critical/logical thought to be able to locate individuals; and
  • Interest in/knowledge of the legal field and Rules of Service for civil matters within Ontario.

Salary:
Up to $75,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Commission pay

Work Location:
On the road
