    About the Opportunity

    • This role is a travelling field technician for systems that combine motors, electrical, wiring, networking/IT, payment terminals/keypads, etc
    • The skillset that is needed for this type of role is two-fold – electronics/electrical/electromechanical as well as some IT troubleshooting (equipment is networked and internet-connected)
    • Electrical engineering or electromechanical education is a big plus
    • Field service experience is preferred but not required
    • This role needs good English communication skills – this person will be communicating with non-technical users – both in person and on the phone

    About You

    • Education or experience in electronics/electrical/electromechanical engineering - troubleshooting electrical circuits, AC/DC, motors, wiring, etc
    • Some experience in IT – troubleshooting TCP/IP, HTTP, Operating systems, workstations, networked devices, etc
    • Strong troubleshooting skills (narrowing down issues to components, etc.)
    • Very good communication skills, ability to troubleshoot thru non-technical users
    • Clean drivers abstract, willingness to drive a company car to client sites

    Bonus Items:

    • Experience field service / support – travel within GTA mostly in company vehicle
    • Exposure to mechanics (e.g., motors, etc.)
    • Exposure to web/html – they have a web admin panel through https
    • MSSQL or Postgres are their databases on backend
    • Linux and Windows (Linux is new, Windows is legacy OS for their terminals)
    • Ability to work out of Mississauga office 5 days per week and travel within GTA 9-5

    Salary Range

    $55,000/year
