Description
This is a full-time position with the primary responsibilities being the entire estate management. The Property Manager reports to the Senior Property Manager, and the Manager of the Family Office.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the daytoday maintenance of the property, this includes the main house, outbuildings, and occasionally offsite locations.
  • Work with the Senior Property Manager and the Manager of the Family Office and owners to upkeep standards for the interior of the residence, how it should operate, and be maintained
  • Work with Senior Property Manager and the Manager of the Family Office and owners to upkeep standards for the building structures on the property, how they are maintained and regular maintenance
  • Seasonal maintenance for the property
  • Upkeep household maintenance standards for the residence (see weekly/monthly/annual task list)
  • Handson in nature, to participate with the housekeeping team and gardeners and other onsite duties as needed
  • Responsible for scheduling and managing all trades, vendors, and contractors
  • Research on special projects, to include capital investments on properties, mechanicals and trades
  • Responsible for all household operational budgets in conjunction with the Family Office Manager
  • Responsible for all invoices in conjunction with the properties, and signature of work being done correctly and accurately
  • Checking household mechanicals weekly (see weekly/monthly/annual task list)
  • Assist in ordering and purchasing household inventories
  • Preparing household operational manuals to include, mechanical, maintenance and inventory
  • Maintain, carry out, and update as needed a weekly/monthly job list
  • Maintain and update a list of all contractors, their roles, and contact numbers who are employed at the residence
  • Opening and closing of the pool and ongoing maintenance
  • Help with snow removal
  • Run errands for the owners as needed such as deliveries and maple syrup production in the spring

Applicant Qualities:


  • Must be serviceoriented and a selfstarter, selfdisciplined and trustworthy
  • Able to anticipate family and guest needs and requirements
  • A handson team player, comfortable stepping in to assist other staff when necessary
  • Experienced and knowledgeable with the care of exterior/interior residential elements
  • Must be familiar with the latest technology in household equipment and maintenance
  • Experienced with managing trades, vendors and installation projects
  • Enjoy the countryside and a country estate
  • Must allow for flexibility in the schedule with probability of overtime, able to work weekends as required
  • Hold a clean, valid driver's license
  • Must have either previous experience or appropriate transferable skills
  • Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality at all time
  • Applicant must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • No smoking on the property
  • Up to date with Covid vaccinations
  • A police report will be required
Salary is commensurate with experience
