Responsibilities:
Role and responsibilities:
- Customize biometric software according to contract and client requirements
- Interaction with internal and external clients on technical design, support and configuration issues
- Supports and follows the product implementation process
- Documents customizations, update user guides
- Meets implementation delivery dates as directed
- Performs product and customization reviews
- Provides implementation estimates as required
- Raises risks/issues as soon as they are discovered
- Reporting and tracking defects, verifying fixes and followup work to resolve issues related to the Company's software developed in Java/JavaScript
- Maintains software skills to match direction of products
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent levels of work experience
- 25+ years experience in software development and/or product implementation.
Required Skills:
- Java/JavaScript
- Java Application Servers
- Wildfly/JBoss
- XML/XSLT/JSON
- Experience with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, server/client hardware configuration
- Version Control
- SVN/Git
- Agile processes
- Scrum/Kanban
- JIRA Issue Tracking
- VM/Container management
- SQL
- Postgres/Oracle/MS SQL
- Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL)
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Azure/AWS environment
- Windows Servers, Active Directory/LDAP
- Kubernetes/Docker
- Ansible/Maven
- Biometrics experience
