Our Story:

Bar Down Cookies was started by a local brother and sister team that wanted to find a way to give back to their community in the sweetest way possible.

We are entirely themed after hockey as we proudly donate a percentage to KidSport Vancouver, a local charity that helps children and youth to participate in sports when their families face financial barriers.

We specialize in offering our BIG, gourmet brookies which are the perfect hybrid between a brownie and a cookie that offer crispy edges and chewy melt-in-your-mouth centres.

Compensation:

$ sales commission

Sweet perks (literally): Complimentary brookies

Schedule:

Shifts are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays due to the nature of Farmer's Markets.

Daily Tasks:

Pick up the market equipment and brookies from the bakery
Commute to and from the market
Set up the booth at the market in the predetermined layout
Interact with and educate customers about our brand's story
Engage in sales efforts
Taking down the booth at the end of the market
Returning the market equipment to the bakery
Ensuring that the market display remains visually pleasing

You offer excellent customer service and strive to go 'above and beyond' to connect with customers

Requirements:

Must be available to work weekends.
Must have a positive attitude, selfmotivated and offers excellent customer service
Must be reliable and consistent

'Bonus Marks':

Have your Food Safe Level 1 (or be willing to obtain it)
Have previous knowledge about baking
Having access to a personal vehicle. Preference is given to larger vehicles such as SUVs or minivans.
Are a sports fan, with a preference for hockey (Go Canucks, Go)
