Job description
Picker/Packer is responsible for picking and packing of products for delivery.

The Picker/Packer will work independently for most of the day and work as a team to get all orders out.

Core Competencies

Job Duties

Folds & tapes boxes, applies labels, packs products and stacks boxes on pallets or shipping line according to direction
Manually lifting products first from picking line to packing table and then to shipping line
Pick orders from racking and shelving units using a cart and bucket system
Match outgoing product with purchase orders for accuracy and expiry dates
Participate in inventory counts
Maintain a safe work environment
Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
Follow current standards and procedures
Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, safety regulations and cleanliness standards
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Secondary Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
Strong reading comprehension skills (English)
Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
Basic mathematical skills
Must have Warehouse experience
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
Attention to detail in all areas of work
Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Must be able to stay at attention and focused for entire shift working with packing tools (tape gun/machine, scissors and box openers) and equipment (could be dangerous otherwise)

Working Conditions

Required to stand for long periods of time
Involves repetitive motions (pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, grasping, etc)
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Safety shoes required
