After proper knowledge and experience the position will develop into an expanded trading role within the Equity Agency Trading Department. What will you do?
  • Maintain Trading information systems and daily processing equity agency business
  • Develop an expertise in equity agency trading
  • Execute agency orders as requested by clients and ensure best execution for our clientele
  • Provide updates on the trades, market, trading environment and trading volume and price instability
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines, sometimes for extended periods of time
  • Interaction with Investment Advisors and Investment Representatives
  • What do you need to succeed? Must have:
  • 2-3 years related industry experience or undergraduate degree in finance, economics or mathematics
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practice Handbook (CPH)
  • Traders Training Course
  • Derivatives Fundamentals Course
  • Options Licensing Course
  • Detailed knowledge of securities markets and investment instruments
  • Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of securities trading patterns and market trends
  • Series 7, 63 an asset
