Job Function:


Provide a range of services to members including responding to enquiries, analyzing needs and assisting members to utilize the products or services which best meet those needs; cross sell credit union products; process member transactions; process member requests for account updates and closures; and resolve routine problems with member accounts.


Major Duties & Responsibilities:


A. Member Sales and Service

  • Provide prompt, courteous service to members, striving to increase member satisfaction with the level of service provided.
  • Aid members by answering questions and providing quality member service through a defined range of financial services (deposits, withdrawals and transfers).
  • Provides assistance to members by answering questions and providing quality member service through a limited range of financial services (deposits, withdrawals and transfers).
  • Ensure personal member service goals are achieved.
  • Uncover referral opportunities to meet member needs.
  • Answer incoming calls, assist members, transfer calls to appropriate staff.
  • Assist with maintenance of treasury where needed, ordering and ensuring adequate cash supplies.
  • Assist with a variety of administrative activities including maintenance of dormant accounts, cash accounts and activities, and production of monthend reports.
  • Assist in processing (batching) cheques to be sent out.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by immediate Supervisor as, and when, required.

B. Other

  • Adhere to the organizational risk policies to protect the interests of the members and minimize operational risk.
  • Actively participate in branch and credit union meetings.
  • Participate in community activities that enhance the credit unions image.
  • Adhere to security procedures as they pertain to the position.

Qualifications:


  • 12 years banking or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to cross sell our PACE products.
  • Willing to participate in Community events and work towards reaching growth objectives.
  • Flexible to assist with extra hours at the branch and other PACE locations.
