The Housekeeping Manager would be responsible for planning, organising, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department to a high standard of cleanliness, observing all guidelines regarding infection control and local standards while assuring the highest degree of care


The Housekeeping Manager should be able to lead by example and ensure the housekeepers perform there duties effectively and effeciently ensuring the cleanliness of the guest rooms, public areas etc in the hotel is as per Brand Standards.

The person should be able to assist during Brand Standard Audit

Perform and Ensure the following

  • Daily motivational briefings with housekeeping team.
  • Cleaning and prepairing Guest Rooms for the Guests and any other requirement as per Brand Standards.
  • Check rooms before making them vacant ready.
  • Deal with staffing issues and guide and help housekeeping staff to bring them upto standard.
  • Provide training new staff
  • Keeping facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
  • Cleaning and stocking restrooms.
  • Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment.
  • Notifying managers of necessary repairs.
  • Collecting and disposing of trash.
  • Assisting guests when necessary.
  • Keeping facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
  • Any other duties entrusted by the management

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Guelph, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Cleaning: 2 years (preferred)
