    Description
    There are two cook positions and they are available immediately.

    The Cook position will be responsible for meal preparation and food services at Camp Bickell for its private rentals from mid-May to mid-June and then for Camp Bickell itself from June 23 to July 27, 2024.

    There may be the occasional opportunity in August, should the candidate accept them, for private catered functions.

    The Cook position reports directly to the Kitchen Coordinator and are responsible for following their direction concerning the management of the kitchen and food services.

    During camp operations, the cook staff will be off from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning.

    Meal Planning:
    You will be responsible for following the Kitchen Coordinators meal plans.
    Ordering, Receiving, and

    Managing Food:

    You will be responsible for assisting the Kitchen coordinator with the ordering, receiving, and managing of all food shipments.


    Preparing and Plating Food:
    You will be responsible for preparing and plating all meals in compliance with safe food handling practices. Once plated, the counselling staff are responsible for serving the food.

    Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene:

    You will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen remains clean and follows all of the guidelines of the Porcupine Health Unit.
