Semi Vac Operator - Turnaround

On-site at various job sites, primarily in industrial or construction settings.


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Semi Vac Operator to join our team and work on turnaround projects.

As a Semi Vac Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining semi-vacuum trucks and associated equipment during industrial and construction turnarounds.

You will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing vacuuming, cleaning, and disposing of various materials in accordance with environmental regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Operate semivacuum trucks to remove materials such as debris, sludge, liquids, and other waste materials.
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working condition, and any issues are reported to the supervisor immediately.
  • Properly load and unload equipment and materials, ensuring that they are secured for transportation.
  • Conduct pre and posttrip inspections of equipment and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and service.
  • Follow all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

H2S Alive, Confined Space, First Aid, Fall arrest, CSO, CSTS:

  • Class 1 Driver's Licence
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating semivacuum trucks and equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening and background check.
