Rotation: 8:00AM - 12:00 Noon Mon (4hrs.) Tues ( 4hrs.) Weds ( 4hrs.) Thurs ( 4hrs.)

This position would be for our facility in
Vancouver with Millennium Tower at 1175 Broughton ST, Vancouver.

***: Reporting to the Support Services Manager, and/or designate, the housekeeper is required to do cleaning, custodial and simple maintenance work; to follow daily custodial standards and instructions; and perform related work as required


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


Include but not limited to:

  • Performs housekeeping duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, and
laundry.

  • Performs kitchen cleaning duties including washing dishes, machinery, ovens, fridges, garbage,
etc.

  • Prepares dining room for meal service.
  • Serves meals, buses and sanitizes tables.
  • Observes clients and their environments, and reports unsafe conditions and behavioural,
physical, and/or cognitive changes to supervisor.

  • Completes and maintains related records and documentation such as communication books and
progress reports.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Grade 1
  • Recent, related experience of three months O an equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience Or other Qualifications determined to be reasonable and
relevant to the level of work

  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
  • Ability to operate related equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Ability to observe and recognize changes in clients

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Must be in good health and free from communicable diseases, physically able to perform tasks related to the position.
  • Must be free of allergies or conditions, which may be aggravated by working with cleaners, detergents and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in written and oral English.
  • Ability to take direction and learn procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, empathy, patience and concern in provide quality services to clients
