    Vocational Instructor - Practical Nursing

    Practical Nursing

    The duties and responsibilities of a Vocational Instructor include continuing excellence in one's field, instructional and professional duties, professional development and service.


    Education and Experience:
    A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. A Diploma in Nursing may be considered with relevant experience.
    Five or more years experience in Acute, Long Term and /or Community Care is required. Experience in pediatrics, mental health or obstetrics may be an asset.
    Recent teaching experience an asset

    Instructional duties may include any or all of the following: instructional (teaching assignments); Professional duties may include any or all of the following: curriculum development, student registration and pre registration duties.

    Professional development is activity intended to promote teaching excellence, subject area competence and technical competence in the area of professional or instructional expertise.

    Service may include any or all of the following: school visitations; administrative and other duties

    Candidates must be committed to a team approach, demonstrate good written and oral English skills and have good interpersonal skills.

    The ideal candidate will have an exceptional teaching record with demonstrated learner-centred teaching philosophy.

    Annual Salary/Hourly Rate:
    normal starting salary between $78,872 and $85,897 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.
