Job Description:

Foodland is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat products to company standards while ensuring quality, freshness, and food safety. This role plays an important part in providing excellent customer service and maintaining an organized, well-stocked meat department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim, grind, and prepare meat products according to Foodland standards
• Package, label, and price products accurately
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas and equipment
• Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of meat products
• Assist customers with product selection and special cut requests
  
• Follow all food safety, health, and workplace safety guidelines
• Monitor inventory and report quality or stock concerns to management

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a meat cutter or butcher is an asset (training available)
• Knowledge of meat cuts and food safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
