Immediate Full-time days job opportunity in a fast-paced logistics/dispatch environment, Grimsby Ontario CanadaCompetitive wages plus comprehensive benefits packages.
Primary Duties:
- Manage dispatch operations Monday
- Friday, occasional weekends
- Managing incoming service orders, set up new customers and services in TRUX operating system
- Dispatch and route vehicles
- Create driver routes based on daily order taking
- Organize daily workforce requirements (drivers and collection vehicles)
- Upload routes to drivers electronically to onboard vehicle device
- Prioritize and dispatch sameday service orders to drivers
- Multitask and prioritize throughout the day
- Effectively communicate with drivers, follow up to ensure orders have been received and completed, confirm with drivers all adjustments in routes and calls
- Direct drivers and loads to suitable landfill, transfer stations material receivers
- Assist drivers, answer their calls respond to question
- Monitor route and driver progress, delegate workload reassign or reschedule as necessary to meet daily workload requirements
- Monitor and manage driver delays, vehicle breakdowns, traffic, organize and dispatch solutions communicate with supervisor and mechanical
- Mitigate driver overtime hours
- Attend to drivers, requests, and site service concerns
- Communicate and report driver site issues to clients, supervisor, managers
- Communicate with customers, delays or missed pickup; arrange modified collection
- Communicate and assist in rectifying onsite service issues example, no access, locked gates, containers not out for collection
- Evaluate site service, communicate with customer in level of collection
- Data entry, update client data base, site information, service notes
- Collaborate with company health and safety
- Ensure driver DVIR log in is authenticated daily
- Complete driver daily routes for invoicing
- Assist administration with various tasks
Requirements:
- High School diploma required, post secondary graduate highly considered
- English speaking (French not required)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to prioritize workload requirements
- Office experience or business administration graduate preferred
- Highvolume call center experience beneficial
- Clear speaking and friendly nature on telephone
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, TRUX, MobiControl, Geotab training provided
- Critical and logical thinking skills a must
- Knowledge of Ministry of Transport regulations an asset
- Able to work extended hours to complete assignments
- Previous experience working in a busy logistics or waste management setting beneficial
- Geographic knowledge of Halton, Hamilton Niagara
Salary:
$51,759.00-$75,000.00 per year
