Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for an Oracle DBA tosupport Critical Currency upgrades project, working on Tuning, Support, Maintenance deliverables, Migrations for Critical Currency project.

Oracle Installation, Database creations and upgrades from lower Database versions to higher versions
Perform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting of software, o/s, and database issues (ex. correcting installation, configuration, or data problems)
Plan and perform software installation, configuration, upgrade and patching database configuration, maintenance, upgrade and patching
Perform and manage system and database backups
Reportto Senior Manager
10+ years of working experience as a Database Administrator
~5+ years of hands on experience with Oracle Installation - Database upgrades/migrations
~5+ years of hands on experience with Database creation and upgrade of Oracle database versions 12c & 19c
~5+ years of hands on experience with Data Guard – Database replication tools, setup, configure and support
~5+ years of hands on experience with Database performance and tuning

Oracle Certifications
Oracle Golden Gate and Oracle Exadata
Database setup in a Cloud environment
OEM/Grid Control (13c)
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization
Good time management and organizational skills to effectively manage high scale project
Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field is a nice to have
