We welcome all interested individuals including Indigenous People persons with disabilities Black racialized ethnic culturally diverse groups as well as people regardless of their sexual orientation gender identities gender expressions Those looking for more information are invited to visit our Equity Diversity Inclusion Policy This role reports directly to the Manager of Diversity Inclusion (Early Years Division) The Bilingual Early Intervention Consultant provides targeted intervention supports such as behaviour support plans accommodations adaptations individualized learning plans for preschoolers with additional needs in both francophone anglophone Early Learning Child Care settings Duties will include but are not limited to Conduct formal informal observations assessments using variety assessment tools order gain robust understanding child strengths challenges Use evidence-based teaching techniques build functional skills young children exceptional needs Design update report targeted intervention supports children training front-line staff Ensure targeted intervention plans goals developmentally appropriate consistent current evidence-based teaching practices based peer-reviewed research current documents PEI's Early Learning Framework Graph various forms data visual display analysis Collaborate internal external service providers staff Ensure targeted intervention plans aligned compassionate ABA assent-based learning neurodiversity-affirming practice Maintain knowledge pedagogical approaches sector standards staying up date provincial federal guidelines strategies curriculum frameworks Other related duties required
