Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for purchasing and delivery process for goods and services based on company demands.
The position is also responsible for the continuous improvement of material movement and maintaining demands and inventory trends throughout departments.
This is an in-person/on-site role located in Brampton, ONThe duties of the Supply Chain Specialist may involve, but not limited, to the following:
- Manages the ordering process for GMP materials, components, consumables, laboratory supplies, reagents, standards, etc.
- Prepares purchase orders, monitors and expedites orders and obtains purchased items.
- Collates invoices, schedules payments in collaboration with Finance.
- Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
- Negotiates quotes, terms and conditions with vendors regarding freight, supplies and services.
- Participates in the vendor/supplier qualification process and ensures items ordered are from approved suppliers/vendors.
- Plans delivery schedules, coordinates inbound/outbound shipments.
- Maintains all vendor contract agreements.
- Manages and assesses warehouse inventory and demand trends and makes recommendations for delivery schedules.
- Compiles, analyzes and uses data maximizing efficiency, process and space requirements.
- Completes reporting and cycle counts as necessary.
- Routes the costumer complaints (related to products) to QA department.
- Complies with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), departmental objectives, and safety standards.
To be successful in this position you will have the following:
- Minimum high school diploma and/or college with focus on communication/business/computer curriculum. University Degree is an asset.
